Arundhati Pise

Arundhati Pise is an Indian visual artist specializing in oil and acrylic mediums, with a thematic focus on feminism, socialism, and everyday Indian cultural life. Her practice blends abstract expression with socio-cultural storytelling, utilizing vibrant color palettes and layered textures to explore the intersection of tradition and contemporary thought. Based in Pune, her work serves as a meditative journey, transforming personal contemplation into universal narratives on balance and inner peace.

Biography

Born on May 24, 1991, in Devrukh, Maharashtra, Arundhati Pise developed her foundational skills in oil, acrylic, and printmaking at the Devrukh College of Art & Design. While her early academic interests leaned toward realistic portraiture, her professional practice evolved into a semi-abstract style. Her work frequently examines complex themes, including the impact of mining on the Indian landscape and the multifaceted nature of feminism.

Currently residing in Pune, Arundhati views the canvas as a pure medium for expressing thoughts and emotions that transcend literal boundaries. Her recent series, Between of Two, serves as a contemplative exploration of the balance between modern distractions and true purpose, using nature as a source of renewal. Whether working on large-scale canvases or intimate pieces, her goal remains to create immersive visual experiences that encourage viewers to rediscover their own connection with stillness and harmony.
