Biography
Dinkar Jadhav hails from humble beginnings in Jadhavwadi, Pune. His artistic journey spans over three decades, marked by continuous exploration, experimentation, and evolution in visual expression. He describes his artistic philosophy through the idea that energy remains constant while only its form changes. This belief reflects in his work, where styles and subjects evolve over time, yet the core emotional intensity and creative force remain unchanged.
Over the years, Jadhav has worked across multiple subjects and thematic series, each representing a distinct phase of innovation. For the past decade, his focus has been on the Horse and Bull series, where these subjects symbolize power, strength, and energy. He interprets the horse as kinetic energy and the bull as potential energy—both embodying passion and dynamic force.
Deeply inspired by nature and the play of light, he developed a unique visual language using bold tonal blocks and layered transparency. His technique involves applying 12–15 transparent layers of color, creating rich textures while maintaining smoothness—distinct from impasto methods. His preference for brushwork allows him to achieve both vibrancy and subtlety simultaneously.
Jadhav’s work also explores emotional narratives, particularly the relationship between male and female forms, expressed through movement, energy, and connection. Extending his practice beyond painting, he has translated this same energy into fiberglass sculptures, maintaining the essence of his themes in three-dimensional form.
For Jadhav, art is a continuous journey of experimentation, emotion, and discovery—driven by courage, innovation, and love.
He believes: “Dreams are forever and energy is constant.”
