He holds a Master of Fine Arts (2012) and a Master of Arts in Indology (2008), a combination that informs his deep understanding of Indian aesthetics and historical contexts. His professional journey is characterized by a versatile engagement with art, ranging from large-scale public sculptures and murals for government bodies to intricate research papers on the evolving scenario of visual arts. Beyond his studio practice, Nimbolkar has served as an influential educator, acting as a paper setter and examiner for BFA programs at major universities and contributing as a judge for various prestigious art festivals.

Artist Statement

"All artistic creation is a form of imitation: My paintings are the only medium to express my experience and affection towards spirits of nature. It gives me the feeling of becoming one with the vast universe we live in. These stylized abstract forms have a definite structure and drawing; all the paintings complement each other and viewing them together is like taking a journey around nature.

Art evolving from my huge image resources of nature leads to a vast pictorial vocabulary, free from limitation, highlighting sceneries of my selected moments or forms. My work entangles decorative and expressive elements—an interplay of forms and textures with colors in a constructed pictorial parameter. Imagination and a minimalistic approach with colors, textures, and space lends my paintings a mesmerizing visual vocabulary which takes the viewer into a peaceful space. All these paintings find their own existence through the intellectual composition of lines, space, and forms such as triangles, circles, half-circles, and rectangles."
