Yashpal Nandgaonkar (b. May 15, 1982) is a distinguished Mumbai-based professional artist whose work serves as a profound exploration of spirituality, meditation, and inner peace. A graduate of the prestigious Sir J.J. School of Art, Yashpal holds both a B.F.A. (2010) and an M.F.A. (2012) in Painting.
Over the past 15 years, his practice has centered on the philosophical depth of Buddhist life. Utilizing a masterful blend of charcoal and acrylics, he captures the essence of Buddhist monks and their meditative journeys. His signature style is defined by a harmonious contrast between bold, vibrant colors and the subtle, evocative precision of charcoal lines. Each piece is designed to evoke a sense of blissful reflection and mindfulness in the viewer.
Yashpal’s emotional depth and unique aesthetic have earned him significant acclaim both in India and internationally. His work has been showcased at premier institutions, including the Jehangir Art Gallery, Taj Mahal Palace, and the Gallery of Lights (Dubai). In addition to his exhibition history, he is the recipient of numerous prestigious honors, including the CCRT Delhi Fellowship in Painting and the Best Painting Award from the Art Society of India.
